Obituary for Johnny R. Clark

Johnny Ray Clark, 53, of New Hope, passed away on April 30th.

Johnny was born on March 9th, 1965. He was a lifelong resident of Madison county. Johnny graduated New Hope High School in 1984. He worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life. Johnny was “mechanical minded” and could “fix” most anything with a motor. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching movies and sports on TV, particularly Auburn football. More than anything, Johnny loved his family and friends. He will forever be missed, but we can rejoice in knowing that he is with his heavenly father.
Johnny fought a long battle with lung cancer. His family would like to thank the doctors (Dr. Philip McGee and Dr. “Tres” Childs) and nurses at Clearview Cancer Institute and Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care (Aide, Kayla and Nurse, Candy) for their unwavering care and compassion.
Johnny is survived by four daughters, Paige Clark, Morgan Davis (Jason), Stephanie Clark and Shannon Clark; one granddaughter (Blair); mother, Carolyn Clark; brother, Greg Clark; and sister, Donna Clark. Johnny is also survived by two aunts, Polly Clark and Lil Pardon (Cecil); uncles, Norman Manley (Brigitte), Boots Manley, Dean Manley (Rachel), Steve Manley (Carol), Billy Manley (Jeanne) and several cousins. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, E.B. Clark; paternal grandparents, James L. and Alvie Clark and maternal grandparents, Richard and Beatrice Manley.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church in New Hope. All family and friends are invited to attend the service and fellowship afterwards.
