Obituary for Sara F. Warren

October 1, 1938 - October 9, 2017

Sara F. Warren, 79, of New Hope, passed away Monday.

Sara grew up in New Hope, and has lived all of her life here, except for a few years at Auburn, and fifteen months in Tuscaloosa. Sara and Carl (Sara Babe & Skip) never met...they always knew each other. They became sweethearts in elementary school, and remained sweethearts forever. Both made the most important decision in life in their early twenties, when they gave their lives to Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and their faith never wavered. Sara was a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was continually unselfish and loving while putting others before herself and putting Christ first. She was the best cook, and used that gift to serve others....especially her family! Carl and Sara's home was always full of love, great food, and Jesus. It is truly a home where love abounds. Her family was blessed beyond measure to have such a loving, comforting, sweet spirit in their lives.

She was preceded in death by father, William Grady Doran, mother, Sally Wilhelm Doran, sister, Lucile Woody and grandson, Jacob Carl Warren.

Surviving are husband of 60 years, Carl H. Warren, daughter, Renae (Philip) Key, daughter, Leitha (Jeff) Butler, son, Mark (Kim) Warren, grandchildren, Karla (Ronnie) Dickey, Katie (Jake) Shrider, Zack (Brandi) Butler, Blake (Jennifer) Butler, Taylor (Kacie) Butler, Isaac Butler, Sara Butler, Collin (Whitney) Warren, great grandchildren, Drew & Janie Dickey, Nathan, Josie & Addie Kate Butler and Abram Shrider, beloved nephew, Larry Joe Woody and many additional nieces & nephews whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of New Hope, Thursday at 1:00 pm with Larry Bishop and Tim Verhine officiating. The family will also receive friends at the church 1hr prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Hayden Cemetery.
