Obituary for Aaron Brady Phillips

December 20, 2001 - February 27, 2018

Aaron Brady Phillips, 16, of New Hope, passed away Tuesday.

Brady was a sophomore at New Hope High School. His greatest aspirations were to become a United States Army Ranger and, after his service to the military, to become a firefighter. Brady had a heart for service and was always helping friends, family, and neighbors. He was also a true prankster, with never ending smiles and jokes. Brady loved deer hunting, squirrel hunting, fishing, and Chevy trucks. He also enjoyed sports and played baseball, basketball, and football throughout the years. Above all else, Brady loved his family and friends.

Brady is survived by his father, Chris Phillips; his brother Blake Phillips and his sisters Lauryn Phillips and Maddie Pruitt. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Glenda Phillips; his maternal grandmother, Kathy James; his step-grandfather, Thomas Pruitt; and his step-father, Travis Pruitt. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Brady was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Jones Pruitt; and his maternal grandfather, William Joseph Jones.

Visitation will be Saturday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at Owens Cross Church of Christ, Sunday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Doug Browner and Bro. Joshua Warren officiating. Pallbearers will be Nick DeArmond, Tyler Ballard, Dewey Carlisle, Thomas Sutton, Michael Brown and Keegan Davis.

Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery.
